Free Blogspot Rank Checker Tool: Is Your Blog Indexed?
How to Check If Your Blogspot Blog Is Indexed (Free Tool & Guide)
If you’ve just started a new blog, there is one question that haunts you: "Is my blog actually on Google yet?"
You can write the best content in the world, but if Google hasn't "indexed" (saved) your pages, you don't exist. You won't get traffic, and you certainly won't rank.
I built the Free Blogspot Rank Checker Tool above to give you an instant answer. But understanding how it works is just as important as the result.
In this guide, I’m going to show you exactly how to check your Blogspot rankings, how to do it manually using "Google Search Operators," and how this tool fits into my ongoing case study, The Blogspot Experiment.
Why Use a Rank Checker?
When you are running a free blog on a subdomain (like .blogspot.com), you need to monitor your "Health" metrics closely.
- Index Status: Has Google found your new posts?
- Keyword Relevance: Does Google know your post is about "Vegan Recipes" or "Tech Tips"?
- Crawl Frequency: How often is the Googlebot visiting your site?
The tool above gives you these answers in one click. But what is it actually doing? It's using Search Operators.
The Manual Method: How to Be Your Own SEO Tool
You don't actually need a tool to check your stats. The tool above is just a shortcut for commands you can type directly into the Google search bar. These commands are called Search Operators.
Here is how you can perform these SEO checks manually, for free, on any device.
1. The "Site:" Command (Am I Indexed?)
This is the most fundamental command in SEO. It tells Google to list every single page it has stored for your specific domain.
- Manual Command:
site:yourblogname.blogspot.com - What to look for:
- Results: If you see a list of your posts, congratulations! You are indexed.
- No Results: If it says "did not match any documents," Google hasn't indexed you yet. You need to check your Sitemap in Google Search Console immediately.
2. The Keyword Check (Do I Rank?)
Just because you are indexed doesn't mean you rank for your topic. This command checks if Google connects your blog with a specific word.
- Manual Command:
site:yourblogname.blogspot.com "your keyword" - Example:
site:theblogspotexperiment.blogspot.com "SEO" - The Logic: This asks Google, "Search only inside THIS blog for THIS word." If your post shows up, you have "Topical Relevance." If it doesn't, you need to edit your post and add the keyword more naturally.
3. The "Intitle:" Operator (Is My Title Optimized?)
Your blog post Title (H1) is the single most important ranking factor. If your target keyword isn't in your title, you are fighting a losing battle.
- Manual Command:
site:yourblogname.blogspot.com intitle:"your keyword" - What it does: It filters your pages to find ones where the keyword appears specifically in the clickable blue link (the Title Tag).
- SEO Tip: If this returns zero results, go back to your Blogger dashboard and rename your post to include the keyword!
4. The "Cache:" Command (When Was Google Last Here?)
Google takes a "snapshot" of your website every time it visits. This is called the "Cache."
- Manual Command:
cache:yourblogname.blogspot.com/your-post-url.html - Why it matters: Look at the date at the top of the cache page. If it says "Snapshot taken 2 weeks ago," Google is visiting you rarely. You need to publish more often to get the bot to come back faster.
About The Blogspot Experiment
Why did I build this tool?
I am currently running a live, public case study called The Blogspot Experiment. My mission is to prove (or disprove) that a free Blogspot blog can still rank on Google in 2025/2026.
Most "gurus" tell you that you need expensive hosting and a custom domain to succeed. I disagree. I believe that with the right strategy—like using Programmatic SEO (building tools like this one) and proper On-Page Optimization—you can compete with the big guys for free.
I am documenting every step of this journey, from my first 100 views to (hopefully) my first paycheck from AdSense.

Summary
Use the Blogspot Rank Checker above whenever you publish a new post. Give it 24-48 hours, then run the "Am I Indexed?" check. If you see your post, you're in the game.
Has your new blog been indexed yet? Let me know your results in the comments below!
